WHAT ARE STICK RAKES USED FOR?

The stick rake is a fantastic tool to add to your machine. With it you can clear unwanted debris or shrubbery with ease, all the while leaving the good soil behind. If you want to start working in a patch of land scattered with vegetation, sticks, or other obstacles, a stick rake is what you need. Stick rakes can be used to sift through soil to remove rocks, or even to clear grass clipping after large commercial mow jobs.

FOLDING STICK RAKES

Our stickrakes are ‘folding stick rakes’ which, as the name suggests, can fold in on itself. The benefit of a folding stick rake is being able to fold the sides in to take up less space. With your average stick rake, should you want to drive your machine up onto the back of a truck, you would have to take the time to remove the stick rake so it can fit. With the Flamsteed stick rake, it takes only a few seconds to fold the stick rake up so the machine can fit. 

TEETH REPLACEMENT

Did you know the teeth of a stickrake are called ‘tines’? These tines are the most important part of the rake, as they are what do the job. Over time, after years of being dragged through earth and rock, these tines will begin to wear down and degrade. Should this happen with other stick rakes, you may have to replace the whole thing, however, the Flamsteed design allows for individual replacement of each tine. The tines themselves are made separate from the rake and are welded on, meaning that after degrading, they can be removed and a brand new tine welded on in its place.

Flamsteed manufactures our own top-of-the-line stick rakes right here in-house. We receive the raw steel at our shop, where we then manufacture the stick rake ourselves, to our own specifications.
